Highlighted Grant Information

Featured Grant: Bureau of Justice Assistance: Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program

The Edward Byrne Memorial JAG Program is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions. JAG funds support all components of the criminal justice system, from multijurisdictional drug and gang task forces to crime prevention and domestic violence programs, courts, corrections, treatment, and justice information sharing initiatives. 60% allocation is awarded to the state and 40% is set aside for units of local governments.

If your department is looking for funding from this grant, you have 2 opportunities: through your local government or through the state. To see if you qualify for local funding review the list of eligible units of local government. If your local government is not on this list, then you need to contact your state for funding opportunities. Please note: every State handles this grant differently!
